STIR-FRY ASPARAGUS WITH SHRIMP
INGREDIENTS
6 to 8 oz (170g-226g) 2 tbsp cooking oil for asparagus
1 inch (2cm) peeled and thinly sliced ginger
6-8 medium-sized peeled and deveined shrimp
3-4 sliced fresh shiitake mushrooms
Some carrots, sliced
SAUCE:
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
8 teaspoons water
1 tsp. Shaoxing wine
a quarter teaspoon sesame oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the bottom stems of the asparagus and cut them into 1-inch pieces. You can use a peeler to remove the skin from the stems (optional step). Rinse the asparagus with water and then drain it. Set aside the Sauce ingredients after mixing them together.Phoenicians-key-lime-pie.
Heat up a wok and add the cooking oil until it’s hot. Add ginger, stir-fry until light brown or aromatic. Add shrimp, mushroom, carrot and do a few quick stirs until the shrimp becomes half-cooked.
Add the asparagus into the wok and stir quickly. Transfer the Sauce mixture into the wok and continue to stir-fry until the sauce thickens. By then, the asparagus should be nicely cooked.
